@GuyBenson96 @libdembounce @EdwardJDavey They had a handful of councillors in Prestwich (in the far south of Bury) until only fairly recently. Of all the wards they could have chosen to stand in, I've no idea why they chose Ramsbottom (Lab/Con marginal) and not Prestwich?

@JoshHousden @Adnan_Smithuzaj The Prestwich area in Bury South was not a weak area for them at all, they held 2 of the three wards until only a couple of years ago and at one point held all three wards pre-coalition... so it is all the more surprising why they aren't standing in Prestwich of all places.

@recycleforbury …though as I understand it many if not most people were putting this material into their blue bins anyway so may not be much of an update to them!
Still, it would be interesting to see if the recycling rate for Bury/GM goes up as a result.

@recycleforbury But I thought plastic pots, tubs and trays can be recycled now, the first bullet point of this tweet contradicts the previous update!
Also, will we receive an updated leaflet/stickers on blue bins? Conscious many would not be aware of this if not on social media.

@nationalrailenq @BeeNetwork This has been out of service for weeks if not months at Manchester Piccadilly of all places, not a rural station. If this was in London it would have been fixed in minutes… up north though, not even a date for when it will be back in service.

Congrats @WarwickQuizSoc on a well-deserved victory. Saw their 1st round live in the green room as I was still reeling from our loss and knew they would go far + they Routed our foes in R2! Commiserations to the lovely @magdalenealumni, a valiant fight there #UniversityChallenge

@RIddlesdenGill @WolfsonCam it was and still is painful at times, but I don't regret it and I learned a lot from the experience, especially given the difficult circumstances around my team. Thanks again for the kind words Gill, a shame we didn't get to meet your team in the green room!

@RIddlesdenGill @WolfsonCam But I'm glad to have tried and to have made it on, the production team were lovely and it is just a game, but too many armchair critics don't realise how easy it is to criticise from home. And if I appear bitter and not gracious in defeat, so be it, it is just my sense of humour
