โWe waste a lot of energy on past and future when present is all thatโs guaranteed.
Spend it wisely, with those you love, in ways youโll never regret.โ
Honored to have been a part of his story and remarkable recovery with the wonderful rehab team at St. Davidโs Rehab. ๐ฅฒ This is why I love #physiatry. ๐ช๐ป
At 15-years-old, Daniel came to St. David's Children's Hospital with shortness of breath, confusion and weakness, among other symptoms. He was in a coma for weeks and diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. His story of recovery is incredible! #TheBestIsHere
Incredibly lucky to have learned and to be able to continue learning from strong #physiatry women role models like @MVGutierrezMD . So grateful for this relationship!!
Reunited with a prior trainee & friend, @bonny_su in Austin.
Seeing your prior residents excel in #Physiatry & Brain Injury Medicine is hands down one of the best aspects of #MedEd
Love having lidocaine blocks in my tool kit for #spasticity. ๐
After brain injury told he had a โfrozen shoulder.โ
Lidocaine blocks to pectoral & thoracodorsal nerves determined he had so much more range of motion after the block. Now on to more longer lasting treatment.
