Manoj Madhusudhanan took a ₹1.86 crore home loan from ICICI Bank.

As collateral, he handed over his original property documents. Every homebuyer does this. You have no choice.

ICICI Bank sent those documents to their storage facility in Hyderabad via courier. Somewhere on that journey — Bangalore to Hyderabad — the documents vanished.

Gone. Originals. Irreplaceable.

When Manoj found out, ICICI Bank had one answer: it was the courier company's fault. Not ours.

He went to the Banking Ombudsman. They told ICICI to publish a public notice about the loss and pay him ₹25,000 for the trouble.

Twenty-five thousand rupees. For losing the original documents to a ₹1.86 crore property.

Manoj sent a legal notice. ICICI denied any mistake.

He went to the NCDRC.

The apex consumer court looked at the facts. The bank had taken custody of the documents. The bank had chosen the courier. The bank could not hand that liability to a third party and walk away.

ICICI Bank — India's second-largest private bank, ₹9 lakh crore in assets — was held liable. Ordered to obtain reconstructed certified copies, issue an indemnity bond, and pay ₹25 lakh in compensation.

One loan. One lost file. One bank that blamed the courier.

Save this — if your bank loses your original property documents, they cannot blame their courier agent. The documents were in their custody. The liability is theirs. File at your district consumer forum. The law is on your side.

1. An Iranian ship, a guest of India was returning, unarmed from the International Fleet Review 2026, hosted by us, and was torpedoed in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).

No statement of concern or condolence. PM Modi remains mute.

Why lecture us on the doctrines of MAHASAGAR and India being a ‘Net Security Provider’ in the IOR, when you can’t react on what is happening in your own backyard?

2. As many as 38 Indian Flag commercial ships along with 1100 sailors are stuck in Gulf of Hormuz. 2 Indian sailors, including Captain Ashish Kumar have reportedly died. Why is there no maritime rescue or relief operation in place?

You say only 25 days of crude and oil stocks left. With rising oil prices, what is our energy contingency plan, especially in the wake of GOI virtually accepting the demand to stop import of Russian oil? What about the trade of other key commodities with the gulf countries?

3. As per MEA statement on March 3, 2026, “some Indian nationals have lost their lives or are missing”.

There are one crore Indians in the gulf region countries. Medical students are releasing desperate video messages seeking help. How is the GOI securing their well-being? Is there any evacuation plan in place from the affected areas?

Clearly, Modi Ji’s SURRENDER is both political and moral!

It demeans India’s core national interests and destroys our foreign policy carefully and painstakingly built and followed by successive governments over the years!

I badly want real estate bubble to crash in India, and especially in Chennai.

In a 4 storey building with a 20 feet approach road, a 3BHk with carpet 900 sqft (super built up 1400 sqft) is being quoted at ₹2.3Cr inclusive everything.

The audacity of the sales person to say “just ₹2.3Cr” got me fuming, asking him what I’m getting for that amount.

It doesn’t even have space for a fire engine to come in easily.

People should realise to not pledge their life to the bank, by buying such mediocre properties. It’s better to put the foot down saying, there’s no value in the project and I’m not gonna shell out a bomb for this sh*t.

There needs to be a @VishalBhargava5 for the Chennai market.
