@RadakazZ@dpmurphy121@kevinschawinski you’re not even capable of comprehending whether or not we are in agreement or even over what - it’s really just disappointing to read you
@RadakazZ@dpmurphy121@kevinschawinski look you already expressed that you’re a low-decoupling unprincipled retard with no relevant point with your first reply, no need to type it out a second time.
@judic8t schools are free -> but that’s everywhere and meaningless
healthcare is free -> but it’s rationed and sucks
universities are free -> and thanks for the downwardly mobile overeducated midwits
childcare is affordable -> continent literally withering away through low TFR
I get so annoyed by posts like this.
People get sick. People get pregnant. Life happens. Unexpected things happen. And what exactly is the alternative? That people should just end up on the street because life didn’t go according to plan?
It’s genuinely wild to me that this is even a debate.
You can say whatever you want about Europe, and people certainly love to talk about our taxes. But you know what? Our schools are free. Healthcare is free or affordable. Universities are free or heavily subsidized. Childcare is affordable. And if you lose your job or get sick, there’s a system in place to help you get back on your feet.
That’s the whole point. We have a social safety net because we understand that life doesn’t always go as planned.
And I genuinely believe that having that protection should be a basic human right, not a privilege.
Now, if you want to talk about how Europe can make it easier for startups to grow, attract investment, or build successful companies, I’m all for that conversation. There’s plenty we can improve.
But please, let’s stop acting like our social welfare system is the problem.
It’s one of the things we should be most proud of.
These don’t make people’s lives better, though! They make one person’s life better, who you can see, at the expense of millions of others who are harmed in ways you can’t see. They are unemployed. Jobs aren’t available. They fight over scarce opportunities because the costs of hiring the wrong person are so astronomically high. This costs everyone, and is one of the major reasons Europe continues to fall further and further behind America. Soon Europe will just be dirt poor, not even comparable, because of things like this.
@TakoTreba > People get sick. People get pregnant. Life happens. Unexpected things happen. And what exactly is the alternative? That people should just end up on the street because life didn’t go according to plan?
that’s what the money is for you midwit
@dpmurphy121@kevinschawinski hey, if thinking i’m a burger helps you cope then go ahead mr stroopwafel. how do you feel about rapes reported doubling in the last decade? or the negative wage growth in that period? is that something you’re proud of? have you recovered from 2008 yet?
the only plausible scenario for creating a functioning federation of europeans that i can think of is for a bunch of motivated people to move to another continent and start from scratch
