Here's my free advice to Activision on how to proceed with Halo:
Step 1: Contact and request an audience with the following original Halo/Bungie devs: Jaime Griesemer, Chris Barrett, Marty O'Donnell, and Marcus Lehto.
The goal of the conversations should be to answer the following questions: "How and why did the 343 Halo games not live up to the Bungie Halo games? How can future Halo games do better in this regard?"
Have those discussions. See if you can find a common understanding. Beyond that, the franchise is Activision's to find success or failure. But perform this necessary due diligence immediately.
Let me use a hypothetical to help make the point:
Let's say that I was given the game director role on the next Half-Life game. And then I was asked, "Hey, would you like to meet and chat with some of the original devs from Half-Life1/2? They would be happy to share their knowledge." My answer would be "Yes, of course. Only a fucking idiot would choose NOT to talk w the original devs."
It would seem that 343/Halo Studios didn't see this as an important part of the process.. and we all know how that ended.
I hope Activision doesn't make the same mistake.
This is happening a lot due to lot of new players and etc.
As a guy with 'SCAV' on the name,
I'll write down some unwritten rules or general etiquette for player scavs.
Also just good general tactic so you can survive from bad scavs.
These are all based on thousands of scav runs.
(Don't get me wrong, you can go rogue as scav, it's for friendly scav players)
1. Voiceline mumble F1 if you hear footsteps or anything around you. (Especially if that somebody already heard you.)
- Helps friendly scavs to know you're scav
- Don't quick double press F1 tho, that'll trigger angry voiceline which is same as when AI scavs see PMCs. Might give false impression to another player that you are angry or you are AI that saw PMC, get that other player scav alerted, make them accidentally shoot you. (Actually happened)
- another tip is bind F1 to 'help me' command. This will do the same as above, but also call in AI scavs around your proximity. These AI scavs will give you additional protection or even possibly find hidden PMC (could be the sound you heard)
2. Always move, never stand still.
- this is more general rule of tarkov, but if you stand still, you're easy headshot target.
Especially if you care about your fence reputation as good scav, you need to let you enemy player scav to shoot body parts rather than head, & gun them down. This will reward you with fence reputation for killing traitor scav.
3. Don't ADS on other player scavs unless you're trying to kill.
- I know some people ADS to check other player, but this is immediate threat to the targeted player.
4. Always have your head up, especially if you're looting with others.
- don't pick up random stuff other player drops. If you pick up, while your head is down to pick up, it's easy headshot from the guy who dropped the items.
- have your hipfire, shoulder fire aim on other guy's head without ADS while looting, so you can immediately act when other guy makes a foul move.
5. If you're alone looting, Utilize F (loot) + X (prone) quick tap to loot while proning, and put your character model into looting corpse as much as possible.
- this lowers your visibility and even make looting corpse as your solid cover.
6. Don't follow others or let others follow you without voip of approval.
- usually following scavs have vile intentions
- if you want to be polite, just leave the player scav and run to opposite direction.
7. Don't loot other player's looting corpse or their kills.
- I mean, do I have to explain this?
8. Avoid duo or trio scavs
- sometimes they have one guy who does the kill while others do sweet talk with good fence reputation.
So even though I killed some of them during the fight they caused, I lost fence reputation rather than gaining.
9. Never trust another player scav.
- had bunch of moments of joining with other players, was friendly from start to the extract,
But blasted my head off at the extract, practically using me as their mule.
Hope this helps.
Back into the fight!
It’s been so long, and I still see all your passion, your love, and your hate for Tarkov! I was at ChinaJoy just now, and it hit me that a lot of you were little kids when Tarkov first started. Some of you have even had kids of your own since then - thats how much time has passed. So much has happened. And yet we’re still here with you. Im with you, no matter what.
Thank you, players. Thanks to my team. And thanks to the Universe for giving us the chance to live and fight.
I'll keep grinding til I die!

Dear Ridge Wallet,
I bought one wallet. I buy one new wallet every 12 years. I do not need multiple wallets, I am not building a collection of wallets, I am not an avid fan of wallet innovation and news.
I do not need to be emailed 4 times a week every week for all of time.
Today marks exactly 10 years since the very first trailer of Escape from Tarkov was released. In honor of this momentous event, we want to thank everyone who pre-ordered the game by November 15, the release date.

@ogdmit@elvis_vista@nikgeneburn@tarkov@bstategames Is there a chance that we could get a survey in the game regarding feedback on the current lack of flea market? Maybe the lack of flea market could be extended based on the survey feedback?? 🤔
this scene/dialogue is so well written, and is one of many that kinda stuck with me. i really hope we get to see more of them and their past one day. 🩶
The world will be saved, but will you?
