It was all joy as we launched our new project, the Ungwan Baro Literacy Hub with a teacher-training seminar. It was a great time to talk about how we can improve the quality of education accessible to the children of this community.
Thank you @WorldConnectUS for partnering with us
I'll be joining an amazing network of over 700 Rise up leaders around the world, having being selected to join @riseupforgirls Nigeria newest cohort. This is an excellent opportunity for me to lead @bookaclan to discover new frontiers in the area of advocacy. πͺπΏ
It is a blessing to have a passionate governing team. This is the smile after a fruitful meeting evaluating the past year and discussing major strategic steps to be taken in 2022.
Establishing a baseline is key to measuring the impact of any project. We carried out reading tests to determine the literacy level of the pupils in our beneficiary schools.
Today, we opened the Aliyu Makama literacy hub with a seminar for the teachers of the school. One more win in the fight against education inequity. One more gain for literacy development. With support from @Teach4Nigeria
#WorldWaterDay ,we organized a hand hygiene seminar at LGEA Kigo road. We had Dr. Dennis Dogo, a public health expert come train the teachers on proper hand washing practices and the use of the WASH facilities we recently installed in the school.

Some members of our team conducted school visits last week. The aim is to help us understand the unique needs, assets, and perspectives of each school.
This activity is crucial to our work as it ensures that local perspectives and ideas are at the center of our projects.
It is done! Thank you @WTO members for finalizing my election today and making history. In the 73 years of GATT and WTO, honored to be First Woman and First African to lead. But now the real work begins. Ready to tackle the challenges of WTO. Forget Business as usual!
The goal of our WASH in schools project is to mitigate the rate of absenteeism due to preventable diseases. We need to keep the children in school for them to learn to read.
