This post has been quoted over the post that includes my open letter to the Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi. I formally demand an unconditional public apology for the reputational damage, professional loss, and direct endangerment caused by your reportage.

You published a bizarre, malicious, and demonstrably false narrative against me and my book Babur: The Quest for Hindustan (snippets attached; latest article linked here: https://t.co/gfckRkWaFX).
The consequence of your fabrication was open threats: calls to burn my book, vandalise bookshops, and intimidate organisers.

By doing so, you single-handedly sabotaged what was possibly the only book dedicated to the Rajput women of Chanderi, who committed Jauhar when Babur’s army attacked. You also ensured that the scheduled session was cancelled—a session meant to expose the forged “Bhopal Wasiyatnama,” a Marxist fabrication routinely used to whitewash Babur as a Hindu-friendly ruler.

Let me state this unequivocally:
I challenge you; and the author of these articles; to produce even one instance from my book where Babur is glorified.

One instance.

If you cannot, then your reporting stands exposed as deliberate defamation. On the contrary, this book is among the most uncompromisingly critical works on Babur ever written.

This is my final and formal request:

Publish a clear, prominent apology as your headline, or substantiate; line by line; your claim that the book glorifies Babur. Failing this, I will proceed with a defamation suit against both the publication and the author, without further notice.

Tagging @MinOfCultureGoI and @gssjodhpur to take note of what the Culture Ministry of Madhya Pradesh is permitting under its watch; details already placed on record in my open letter to the Prime Minister.
