Collecting worst case scenarios doesn’t protect me. It only projects the possible pain of tomorrow into my day today & feeds more fear.
Let’s ask God to help us know the difference between wise discernment & fear.
One prompts us to remember God. The other prompts us to panic.
Gotta get something off my chest. Don’t let churches disregarding social distancing tell you it’s all about faith. Takes more faith to trust Jesus to build His church despite empty sanctuaries, to sustain churches financially & bring people back who’ve broken the habit of going.
This is the faith walk of your pastoring life, Pastor. Sow the seed of God’s Word into this fertile soil of peril and uncertainty. May God return to you the harvest of your pastoring life.
@BethMooreLPM Exactly. There’s a difference between loving our neighbors in the midst of a pandemic and being persecuted for our faith. It’s not rocket science. 🙄
awfully strange waking up on Sunday and NOT going to church. here’s a 2-minute message. leverage this season of SOCIAL DISTANCING as a season of SPIRITUAL INTIMACY by seeking God with greater consistency, priority and intentionality! #ForSuchaTimeAsThis
Don’t despise the mundane, sweet friend. Embrace it. Unwrap it like a gift. And be one of the rare few who looks deeper than just the surface. See something more in the everyday. It’s there.
As a Christian, I know that ultimately my hope comes from God, through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that as individuals, and as a nation, we will turn to Him.
.@CNN is accusing @POTUS of peddling false hope. The truth is, America does need hope! I thank God that we have a Commander in Chief who knows how to take charge and stand w/hope in front of clouds of despair looming on the horizon—thank you Pres. Trump! https://t.co/buGbExydEb
