@5thAveSnoozer You are welcome. Hopefully more people that love @Bodegacats_ will talk to the owners to make sure they are fixed and more owners will do the right thing. The @CatCafeBK offers subsidized spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, exams, etc for pet owners.

Really disappointed in @Gothamist and parent company @WNYC for not using their platform to actually help this cat. As a Brooklyn cat rescuer I know first hand that cats who are lost and find themselves far from home are extremely vulnerable, disoriented and scared.

@FazioliMike @Gothamist @lindsaygoldwert How do you figure? There was ZERO effort to contact any rescue groups and this cat is likely scared to death and no where near it's home. Most cats that stray from home end up getting hit by cars since they are disoriented and terrified.

A stray cat on the subway is not hilarious. Rescue groups should have been contacted. Shame. #subwaycat

@JanayaWecker @NewYorkNeek Hilarious? If this was a dog, no one would be laughing about it, and someone would have scooped up the dog and taken him to the ASPCA or a local vet. Just because cats are smart and appear independent it doesn't mean they don't also need help getting back home.

It's "hilarious" that this cat is stuck on the subway and disembarked on 125th and now has no idea where it is or how to get back to it's home? Did no one think to try to bring it to a vet to scan for a microchip?
