Please help me keep my TD5 Defender on the road but this will be relevant to a lot of older cars!! ‼️IMPORTANT‼️ *Please Share.*
So the government is going to try and effectively remove old vehicles from the road.
They've created a sneaky consultation on this huge change with an end date of only the 6th of September.
They want to have a yearly emissions check on every car and motorcycle on the road AS WELL as your mot.
If you pass the mot but then go to your emissions check, if the vehicle doesn't emit exactly the same emissions as when it was built the car will be banned from any use on the road even if it passed its mot emissions.
‼️ This will effectively destroy cars for those of us who love older cars, as well as those who simply can’t afford a newer car. Also car tuning and modifications will be forced to stop you been able to drive your car.‼️
This is targeting all vehicle, cars, motorbikes, trikes, kit cars etc.
So far they are just targeting cars after 2001 but they want to use it on every vehicle on the road targeting mot & tax exempt (historic) vehicles.
They've purposely not given this consultation much time, so please go to the bottom of this page, click this link: https://t.co/Hg0M1j9rPx and click *DISAGREE* and tell them you do not want any of this from the government and share the consultation for others to do the same.
Only way to stop this would be to get the results of this consultation to be a resounding NO (DISAGREE)!

I’ve heard a whole lot of guitar solo covers of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” over the years, and I mean a whole lot. Bar bands, bedroom pickers, YouTube shredders, you name it. Some were good, some were… well, bless their hearts for trying.
But this one right here! This is hands down the best I’ve ever heard 🎶💛
That opening stretch where the tempo picks up and the guitar just starts climbing, most folks try to muscle through it, but this player let it breathe. You could feel every note, every bend, every bit of that signature Southern fire that made the original so unforgettable 💛
Please stop scrolling and read this:
This child was groomed aged 12.
In November 2004 (aged 14–15) she was taken to a hotel room, plied with alcohol, and raped during an “Eid party.”
When the gang had finished, they threw curry powder over the girl and left.
The police managed to bring a charge against just one of the gang, even though there was CCTV evidence of the gang escorting the child in to the hotel.
But just one day before the trial was due to start, the CPS dropped the case.
The Muslim London transport bombing had taken place 3 months before the trial date and anti Muslim hate was on the rise.
I accuse the Blair government of dropping the trial for political reasons.
This family are still fighting for justice, please sign their petition now.

i’ve come to the conclusion simply watching the puppet show unfolding that the only way any of humanity will survive the criminals destroying and even bloody consuming it ultimately, is simply for humanity to make conscious changes in life as you would in any other abusive relationship.
Because in order to survive it - you have to totally disengage from the abuser.
I predict People will eventually turn their backs on these criminals, they will have to, or they simply won’t survive.
When the majority of the most defiant that’s left actually do that collectively you will remove their power.
It’s a bit like the wizard of oz story, a big favourite of mine, full of truths and hidden meaning.
It’s a life lesson that film.
As the end of film approaches the good glenda tells dorothy that she could have always gone home any time she liked.
she then goes on to tell Dorothy that she always had the power, to do so, she just didn’t know it and how to go about it.
But it was as simple as clicking your heels together three times
Let’s be honest - we have all seen behind the wizards curtain now haven’t we - so we know it’s mostly a lie and evil.
We know who and what they are now.
But like dorothy we do have the power to change it.
By turning our backs on them on every level - all of us, together.
Yes it will be challenging.
What is lacking still is the will and the courage, but that disengagement will flourish in the coming days, you can feel it rising.
A great awakening will become a great disengagement and that is what is needed.
I think it is clear that these puppet criminals are desperate for a fight with us to push towards the end game
This why they now endlessly bear bait, that is the strategy and it works doesn’t it.
They endlessly incite you and then deal with the rebellion.
problem and solution.
But they are not at all prepared for you to simply peacefully totally turn your backs them, to unplug totally from them.
It’s got to be easier than fighting?
I suspect that approach en mass would totally fuck them up - they would openly lose their minds.
because they wouldn’t know how to deal with that.
Once you simply just ignore them totally - surely you’re on your way to winning.
Because remember all abusers need a victim to be able to abuse.
But people have to decide to stop being victims collectively.
We all know that an abusive relationship only stops if you end it is my thinking and i am open to suggestions.
i wonder would there be any sort of refuge anywhere will emerge for people who simply don’t want to live like this any more perhaps ?
because the reality is there is no one group they are targeting
No one faith, no one color.
It is ALL of you.
You are all being exploited, abused and poisoned and culled, plundered and even in some cases - eaten.
Humanity clearly has a common enemy, but collectively we are utterly amazing and capable of anything.
But only together.
A warning on this.
In my local area, Lambeth, Low Traffic Neighbourhoods were - at great cost, & against the weight of responses to consultation - imposed, snarling up the streets with blockages of various kinds, new cameras going up to enforce them etc.
After the Council lost the case brought against it by residents in the High Court, they had - at great cost, of course - to rip it all out again, and all the fines they’d levied were null and void. Logically you’d think - having been able to pay identify drivers, demand payment, and then receive it from them - they’d be able to pay that money back automatically.
Think again. They wrote to residents setting out how to reclaim, but unless you had that letter - you were a visitor, say, or were passing through - you’d have no idea that you were entitled to your money back. Suitably enough I suppose, the automated cash system only worked… one way.
That will be the case in Croydon. So if you know someone who got one of these fines… give them a heads up. Even though the Council will have a record and will be entirely able to reverse the payments, they will not do it for you.

The world's foremost authority on wasps is walking down the street when he sees an old vinyl record in the window of an antique shop, "Wasp noises from around the world".
Intrigued, he goes into the shop and asks if he can listen to it. "Certainly," says the shop assistant and pops it onto an ancient turntable. After listening to the first track for a while, the world's foremost authority on wasps is a bit confused.
"I don't recognise any of these noises, and I'm the world's foremost authority on wasps! Can you play the next track, please?"
The assistant obliges and skips the needle onto the next track. After a while, the world's foremost authority on wasps is still confused "No, I still don't recognise any of these wasps. Can you try the next track?" The assistant skips the needle on, and the world's foremost authority on wasps listens for a little while longer before shaking his head. "It's no good. I just don't recognise any of these wasps"
The assistant peers at the label of the record and says...
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry, Sir. I had it on the bee side"

Mmmm. Very pretty & professional looking, I’ll admit…
I’ll also admit I wasn’t instrumental in LGB activism, like Bev Jackson, Kate Harris or Fred Sargeant, but, if I may, I’d like to correct the multitude of errors that litter this statement (again, very pretty, all typed out neatly, by Miffy The Whiffy Gamer… either from some bot or his imagination)
But let’s get a few facts straight, shall we?
I’ve been a vocally out gay actor since 1990. In those days, if you were gay, & open about it, you were only cast in gay parts. And it was bloody difficult.
I worked for The London Gay Theatre Company in 1992 & 1994. I was in many different LGB plays throughout the 90’s, & was interviewed & spoke about being “openly gay” with Gay Times, Attitude, The Pink Paper & many other gay publications. In every interview I gave, it was mentioned (much to my eventual boredom & to the irritation of the gay press, who seemed to be frustrated at me for not believing that being gay was the most interesting thing about me.)
In 1993, I was part of the West End cast of “Elegies for Angels, Punks & Raging Queens”, alongside Regina Fong, Simon Fanshawe, Trudie Styler, Kim Cresswell & many others. The show was about those who’d died from AIDS, & every night, we raised a significant amount of money for AIDS charities. We also all performed on the main stage at Pride that year.
In 1994, I was in New York during the Gay Games, where I made a film about lesbian ice skating, which we shot on location. I marched with Ian Mckellen (who was also in the film) & Martin Sherman, to celebrate the Games.
In 1996, myself & 6 other openly gay actors were part of a successful little indie film called “Boyfriends”. Again, we all vocally supported gay rights in various interviews.
In 1997, Stonewall invited me to their Equality Show at the Albert Hall, to high kick with the Tiller Girls, as part of a small group of out performers, including Stephen Fry, Jimmy Somerville, Simon Fanshawe, to encourage others to come out & be proud. Yes, we were actually “celebrated” by Stonewall back then, believe it or not.
In 1999, I played a controversial, purposefully vile gay character in Jonathan Harvey’s sitcom ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’. It was controversial because it was one of the first gay characters that was entirely comfortable with his sexuality, was vulgarly open about it & wasn’t always portrayed in a positive light. The gay press were not happy, initially, but it apparently grew on them. The series continued until 2001. Again, I did interview after interview discussing & championing gay rights.
In 2000, I played Bette Midler’s ‘openly gay’ musical accompanist, Oscar, in the short lived sitcom ‘Bette’. Being a series regular, I used my voice in interviews to speak up for gay rights.
In 2004, I took part in the first series of Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen, raising £40, 000 for my chosen charity The Terence Higgins Trust, which I publicly supported & endorsed endlessly.
Do bear in mind, there was no social media as we know it now.
I joined Twitter in 2014. From 2000 to 2014, LGB people had achieved equality & for the first time, it seemed to be ok to be gay.
I rejoined the fight online when I saw the damage the TQ+ was now was doing to the rights we’d, as gay people, had already won, at much cost. I was reluctant & angry, as I’d thought we’d been there, done that, bought the t-shirt etc. But no.
So if you mean I played no part in the fight for LGB rights, you’d either be wrong or lying. The world didn’t start with the advent of the internet.
Perhaps if I stuck on a red beret, a dress, held an Antifa flag & hollered at a crowd through a megaphone to “punch terfs in the f**king face”, I’d already be lauded as a “champion of LGBTQIA+ rights”.
Maybe that was my mistake…🤷
