इससे पहले हरियाणा की मतदाता सूची में भी तस्वीरों को लेकर गड़बड़ियों के मामले सामने आए थे। अब पंजाब में ऐसी चूक का दावा चुनाव प्रक्रिया की विश्वसनीयता पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े करता है।

चुनाव आयोग जवाब दे! मतदाता सूचियों में ऐसी गलतियाँ कैसे हो रही हैं? इनकी जाँच कौन करेगा और जवाबदेही किसकी तय होगी?

चुनाव आयोग इस मामले की निष्पक्ष जाँच करवाए और तथ्यों को सार्वजनिक करे। लोक���ंत्र में मतदाता सूची की शुद्धता और चुनाव प्रक्रिया की विश्वसनीयता से कोई समझौता नहीं होना चाहिए।
