When Somaliland is in control of las'anod, it never happens these heart cold actions
The nomadic tribal wars are only protected by the system of government, rule law, and order
The whole world must know the tribal militias that captured Las'anod committed crimes against humanity

Today, 16 June 2026, it was a great honour for me, together with the First Lady and my delegation, to visit the Knesset, @KnessetENG the Parliament of the State of Israel.
I extend my sincere appreciation to Speaker @AmirOhana and all Members of the Knesset for the warm welcome and distinguished hospitality extended to us.
Signing the Knesset’s Book of Distinguished Visitors was a historic moment that reflects Somaliland’s enduring journey toward securing its rightful place in the international community.
Drawing upon my experience as Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland, I believe that closer cooperation between our legislative institutions will further strengthen democracy, good governance, and parliamentary exchange.
I am confident that the partnership between the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Israel will continue to grow on the foundations of mutual respect, strategic cooperation, and a shared commitment to peace, security, and prosperity.
Today marks another proud milestone in the history of the Republic of Somaliland.
Republic of #Somaliland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a forceful rebuttal to Mogadishu, categorically rejecting Somalia's condemnation of President @Abdirahmanirro's landmark state visit to @Israel.
The Republic of Somaliland affirms that its engagement with Israel is a sovereign decision grounded in self-determination — one the Federal Government of Somalia possesses "neither the authority nor the mandate" to determine. Somaliland declares it "will neither seek permission from Mogadishu nor allow threats, propaganda, or diplomatic pressure to dictate its international partnerships."
The historic visit — the first ever undertaken by a Somaliland head of state — saw President Abdirahman Irro:
• Received by President @Isaac_Herzog at the presidential residence in Jerusalem.
• Sign a Strategic Joint Declaration of Cooperation with Prime Minister @netanyahu
• Hold talks with Israel's defence, foreign, finance and economy ministers and senior IDF commanders
• Address Israeli business leaders at a high-level investment forum
• Inaugurate the Republic of #Somaliland's first embassy in Israel in Jerusalem. Becoming the 8th embassy established in Jerusalem.
Alongside the public agreements, the two governments have advanced significant but undisclosed defence and security cooperation - encompassing framework agreements on maritime security and intelligence sharing, anchored by the strategic Red Sea corridor at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
The visit follows Israel's December 2025 decision to become the first UN member state to formally recognise the Republic of #Somaliland.
Honoured to meet Foreign Minister @gidonsaar during my official visit to the State of Israel.
We discussed expanding cooperation between Somaliland and Israel across security, investment, technology, infrastructure, innovation, and economic development. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to advancing a partnership that serves the interests of our peoples and contributes to peace, stability, and prosperity.
My sincere thanks to Minister Sa’ar for his warm welcome and hospitality.

"No one will decide for Israel - and no one will decide for Somaliland - who we conduct diplomatic relations with."
🇮🇱 Foreign Minister @gidonsaar, alongside Somaliland President @Abdirahmanirro at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem.
It was a great honor to welcome President @Abdirahmanirro to Jerusalem to begin his first-ever state visit to Israel.
Our task is now to move from declarations to action with people-to-people collaboration in a range of fields between out two wonderful nations.
Honoured to attend the State Lunch hosted by my friend President @Isaac_Herzog at the Presidential Residence in Jerusalem.
From Davos to Israel, our conversations have reflected the growing ties between Somaliland and Israel. Today, those ties take another important step forward as we work together to build a future of partnership, cooperation, and shared opportunity for our peoples.
I extend my sincere appreciation to President Herzog for his warm welcome and generous hospitality.

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahiim;
I have arrived in Israel as the first President of the Republic of Somaliland to undertake a State Visit, and I am honoured by the warm welcome extended by my friend, President @Isaac_Herzog
For thirty-five years, the people of Somaliland have built a peaceful, democratic, and resilient nation. We asked the world: Do you see us? Israel answered first. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey and the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between Somaliland and Israel.
To the people of Somaliland: I carry your hopes and aspirations with me. Generations have struggled, sacrificed, and persevered to bring our nation to this moment. We will seize this opportunity with confidence, wisdom, and determination, always guided by the interests of our people and our Republic.
Today, history is being written, and Somaliland stands ready to forge a shared future founded on friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect.
