"In 2009, I decided to create a new, 30”X30” painting of the Guggenheim, each year, for 20 years. Amid COVID-19 — the rogue 'Pandemic Guggenheim' was created with a palette knife, opposite handed, in ninety minutes. I set out to capture the prescient, pre-COVID exhibition about sustainable living — 'Countryside, The Future.' Prominently featured in the composition is a tomato growing hut, which was curiously and ominously erected in front of the Guggenheim. Removing all creative aspects of control embraced the surreal, dystopian experience of 2020." -Jason Borbay, this week's #FrankLloydWrightFridays artist.
@shootermcgavin Not as cool - but Chris invited me to join him and Tony Danza for drinks at Elaine’s when I was 23. Which, of course, was still very cool.
