Just four years ago, Mahsa Jina Amini a young Kurdish woman was detained by Iran’s morality police for not wearing her hijab properly and killed in custody.
Her death sparked nationwide protests across Iran. The authorities responded with force, hundreds were killed as people pushed back against restrictive laws imposed on women. So the regime backed down on Hijab.
