@kevverage It’s a tricky one. On on hand we have wealth disparity which is real. However the argument of ‘unearned income’ is also true for a fair portion of people on welfare. I’d rather we sorted out the overall mess of a tax system rather than keep randomly squeezing different ones
@bitforth Would totally agree. As a CPO some of my best product managers have more of a humanities background, or have pivoted from engineering to a more rounded view. I encouraged my son to study Philosophy at Cambridge - he now works in technology consulting!
@AndyRoweOnline Totally agree. As fans, of whatever hue, we are to have to reconcile our appetite for every call to be ‘correct’ vs a more fluid game that, yes random bad luck, has a part
@AndyGoode10 As an Irish fan I thought he was actually pretty good, tried to keep the game flowing etc. Sure we didn’t get the rub of the green on a few but if you are the team being pumped then decisions tend to tilt the other way. The ref was not our main issue.
@loverugbyleague I’m an RU guy and I literally don’t know what more this guy could do. Absolute pinnacle of what it means to be a friend and a rugby man.
@thespursweb@Coral I think Gazza was the best footballer I ever saw live, and Bale the best athlete & close to unplayable footballer at his peak. Hoddle the most elegant.
@COYS_com I think we need to be careful what we wish for in terms of ownership, ENIC out & all that, ask Man U. That said it was time for new exec leadership & you can only have one set of hands on the steering wheel. I am hopeful that we keep sensible owners but a refreshed day2day mgt
@ben_bowman_ I suspect they bring different skills. Lange all data, the Don all contacts & experience. I think our main issue is the cumbersome decision process, Levy’s legacy of dealing, particularly with PL clubs and a cultural aversion to investment risk.
@MikeGNolan I suspect its a bit more complex. I think Levy has tried optimise every deal too much. That now means Spurs are at a disadvantage in the mkt before we even start. Being a tough negotiator for too long ends up being a negative in a mkt where there are choices
