@elonmusk You could actually use some of those obscene billions of dollars of money to improve life here on earth. You know, reclaim desserts since you seem to love inhabitable places so much.
On the disappointing matter of ishowspeed experience in Nigeria, I put blame wholly on him and his crew, Lagos is too Urban and commercial for his type of vibe. It's left for his crew to do the research and arrange for him to visit places and villages filled with cultural heritage, and everyday ordinary citizens showcasing their raw talents. I will just highlight few places he would have gone and wish to come back again in near future.
OSOGBO, OSUN STATE
A creative hub where he will get first-hand experience on how wood carving is done and even fabrics are dyed.
NSUKKA OR NGWO in ENUGU STATE
Unscripted and energetic sports like wrestling and even guys that have talent in flute playing couple with it's hilly landscapes. It is called Enugu(on top of mountain) for a reason.
ILE-IFE, OSUN STATE
Ancient vibes with artifacts, bronze casting and even informal chants.
BENIN CITY, EDO STATE
Very rich in Edo/Bini heritage. Craftsman even work everyday producing historic replicas.
AWKA OR ONITSHA ANAMBRA STATE
Igbo entrepreneurs in full blast, cultural displays like masquerade dance in full swings.
CALABAR, CROSS RIVER STATE
Efik/Ibibio heritage in daily life. Seafood markets and even boat rides. Ekpe society performance and Street drummers, canoe racing and even beach soccer.
OWERRI, IMO STATE
No kind of highlife music you won't get in Imo state, vibrant markets filled with artisans making beads and or weaving. Traditional wrestling and masquerade dance
RIVER BASINS (NIGER DELTA AREAS)
RIVERS STATE AND BAYELSA STATE
Niger Delta vibe, street rappers blending pidgin with local slangs. Ikwere/ijaw heritage. Fishing and canoe escapades
IBADAN, OYO STATE
I hear of Dugbe markets where herbal arts are sold. Closer interactions with Sango worshipers and it's folktales.
I intentionally left football out cos no area in Nigeria he won't see talents. That one is just scattered everywhere.
@calvinokello4 Arap Sugoi doesn't miss! ๐ Heโs managed to get a global superstar to do an 'inspection' of Talanta Stadium without even paying for an ad. Whether you like him or not, his ability to hijack a trending moment for government PR is unmatched. Mkubali tu! ๐๐ฐ๐ช #SpeedDoesAfrica
Angella Okutoyi wins 4/4 titles in Nairobi๐ฅณ
She recorded a straight set 6-3, 7, 6(3) victory over Martina Colmegna to win the W35 Singles title for a second week in a row.
