نعترف اعتراف تام بحق الدولة الكردية
نؤكد اعترافنا الكامل بحق الشعب الكردي في تقرير مصيره وإقامة دولته المستقلة، ونشدد على أن الجانب العراقي لن يضع أي عائق أمام هذا الحق المشروع.
غير أن تحقيق هذا الهدف يتطلب توافقاً دولياً واسعاً وجهوداً مشتركة من المجتمع الدولي، وليس قراراً أحادياً متعلقاً به العراق .
ونستنكر في الوقت ذاته استمرار بعض الأطراف من الدولة العربية في استخدام قضية الدولة الكردية كورقة ضغط وابتزاز سياسي موجه ضد الهوية العراقية ، في محاولة لتحميله تبعات لا علاقة لنا بها.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Tom Barrack Condemn Attacks on Kurdistan and the US Embassy

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a telephone call from Tom Barrack, U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye and Special Envoy for Syria.

They both condemned the attacks on the Kurdistan Region and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

They also discussed the situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the wider region.

The Prime Minister and the Ambassador agreed to stay in close contact.

New war, old partnership.

America knows who it can trust in Iraq, Syria, and, now, Iran.

The Kurds have earned America’s full and enduring respect. Congress must codify that respect with recognition and special consideration for military protection, economic development, and visa programs.

If activating the Kurdish militias against the Iranian regime is the decision, the U.S. must not waiver under pressure from regional capitals nor abandon Kurdish partners. “Temporary and transactional” will not suffice, this time.
