Today @bothwellhsd I wrapped up the grade 5-8 STEAM Club! We had some special guests join us for lunch to talk about their career stories and share how it’s connected to STEAM. What an awesome way to end my time with students before heading on mat leave! #hsdlearns #hsdcdle

Ice cream season has begun! At yesterday’s celebration of learning at Bothwell School the grade 7/8s and I explored the particle theory of matter with a focus on how salt lowers the freezing point of ice.

During lunch I got to spend time with grades 5-8. We hosted our #STEAM Club in the STEAM Lab and learned about meteors, meteorites and meteroids. We also talked about exoplanets and played with a @Sphero. Those kiddos are always a blast!

Today I connected at @bothwellhsd with the kindergarten class! We played a graphing game, played with the community helpers centres, and pretended to be authors writing our own page of a vet book!

All HSD Schools will be closed on Mon. Feb. 19 for Louis Riel Day. As Manitoba’s honorary First Premier, Louis Riel advocated for the citizens of the Red River Settlement and was the driving force behind Manitoba joining Confederation and becoming Canada’s fifth province.
