@hines_stephen@drjanaway@CCWearmouth This has got nothing to do with GP specialist training. This is about FY and other doctors, who are largely working in a hospital setting as the first medically trained responder to acute patient deterioration.
@hines_stephen@drmattuk@CCWearmouth ALS skills & knowledge:
ECG analysis
IV access
Airway management
ALS pharmacology
Deteriorating patient recognition & management
Acute coronary syndromes
Leadership & teamwork
All areas in remit of a 5 or
6 year medical degree which make ALS entirely appropriate for FY1 Drs
@drmattuk@hines_stephen@CCWearmouth Think he might be a paramedic by training so perhaps shouldn’t really comment on a FY1 doctor’s training, although I am sure he is experienced in resuscitation training
🩺 Why is it so difficult to see a GP now? ❓
1: We’ve lost the equivalent of 2,212 full time (60+ hrs a wk) GPs since 2015. 📉 🧑⚕️
Assume each GP has a list of 1800 pts (often an underestimate) that’s a whisker below 4 million patients without access to a GP. ⚠️🥼

.@bbcbreakfast Have you ever wondered why there *isn't* an NHS prostate screening programme? Please can you do some basic journalistic research before advocating for one on national TV
@Fred_Kearey Why not retweet the actual data Fred? Since 2008 cash terms avg consultant pay up 14%, avg worker 48%, scientific/technical 74%, finance 78%. We’re not asking for special treatment, quite the reverse. Graph CPI adjusted.
@veggieequallife @sh_abbers The real doctor you describe is a genuine GP who specialises in research about and training other clinical practitioners. I suspect website info is just inaccurate as its fairly sparse.
