BREATH BASED AUTONOMIC REGULATION ~
The Physiological sigh.
Double inhale through your nose (one breath mostly in, then a second to top off at top), then a long (uncontrolled) exhale through mouth. Totally let it fall out.
This inflates collapsed alveoli, drops CO2 rapidly and is the fastest known voluntary breath based downregulation of acute sympathetic activation. One to three repetitions is enough.

@Zenfrog4 They are indeed. An old Chinese medicine secret, 11 per day. Extremely healing for liver. While things like dairy and other damp causing foods would lead to opposite in many cases.
Honestly, it can be a long awhile.
It will start to clear within weeks but it can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Really complex question and differing organisms and locations all make it nuanced. Organisms within a biofilm are up to 1,000 times more tolerant of antimicrobials than the free floating ones as well. Gut bio films are really stubborn too and if someone has immune dysregulation or something like CIRS the bio film clearance can stall.

Today’s practice for those that want to join me this next hour :
5 minutes of alternate nostril breathing / parasympathetic breathing so the body balances and calms down. (If you don’t know this practice, look up parasympathetic or alternate nostril breathing on YouTube - many great tutorials)
Then we will do an ancient Taoist practice where you sit spine straight or lay down with the back completely straight and we will imagine flecks and flickers of light forming and gathering for 3-5 minutes in the lower dantian. Think of the shimmering of light on water. This is an area about 2-3 finger widths below naval and behind it. Imagine this area coming to life with every breath. Each breath builds flecks of light in this space, as if the light is dappling through water, building and shimmering. Try to feel the shimmering movement (qi). Once you’ve built yours (each nasal inhale builds and gathers it there and each exhale compresses it there), then begin to lift this shimmering light as if it’s moving like incense smoke, rising up to the heart (on inhale) then back down to this lower dantian (on exhale)
Just lift it up as healing light that lifts as incense to the chest, then back down to its original well.
Healthy Population :
Do for 10-20 minutes. Do not do this with Yang and active pushing force. Just imagine it and hold it lightly in your mind while it does this. Lift from within the middle of you, then return it to source well. Up to heart and the heart is infused with shimmering life force then back down to the watery light well. You may also lift up on your perineum on the inhale at about 15-30% of a full lift, then release to almost relaxed without fully letting it release.
Chronically ill population who is going to heal themselves : do this for 5-10 minutes only to see how you do. Movement and building of Qi can cause crashing in certain cases, so go very slow and see if you can get it to build and circulate within you without the crash. Find your sweet spot. You may also gently lift up on perineum at 15-20% of what’s possible on lifting up on the sex organs (this is a lock) but do not go higher until you know you n handle it over the course of practicing. Then release down to 5% of full hold on that exhale. Pair this with your breathing and create a gentle and non taxing, non forced rhythm that you almost just witness your mind doing so it isn’t overworking.
For both, as you lift the incense like light up, do not have it be smoke, it’s just a shimmering light that billows up like incense smoke moves.

***Notes : ladies, do not lift up on pelvis or sex organs during your period, you can just do the light and breathing exercises.
***Do not end on the heart or chest region. The end looks like you returning this energy to the lower dantian and compressing it into a well of shimmering light or shimmering light water just below and behind the belly button. See it shimmering and compressing, smaller and smaller until it disappears deeply within you.
***Do not do this with issues with hyper tension or if you have issues around things like a kundalini activation as this could make it build since we are gently moving energy upwards. If this is you and you want to join, go outside with bare feet on the ground and just breathe in light that isn’t too hot into a well of deep dark nourishing water in your pelvis and just try to see it dancing around, no lift on the perineum. You could put your hands on your heart instead.
