NEWS: Big Ten officials are expected to discuss in the upcoming days a league-wide mandate to not play Texas Tech in any sports, per three Big Ten sources. This is in the wake of Nebraska AD Troy Dannen informing his staff today that they aren't allowed to schedule Texas Tech.
According to news reports, at least 8 Georgia football players were arrested in the past year: Jahzare Jackson (Jul 2025: felony marijuana), Nyier Daniels (Nov 2025: multiple felonies incl. fleeing; dismissed), Dontrell Glover & Bo Walker (Dec 2025: shoplifting), London Seymour (Jan 2026: 11 felony property damage counts), Chris Cole & Darren Ikinnagbon (Feb 2026: reckless driving/speeding), Ja'Marley Riddle (May 2026: felony drug possession & speeding). Includes felonies and misdemeanors.
Two weeks ago:
“Texas Tech jumping through hoops to get Sorsby to play when he’s not even good. Mid QB at best”
Today:
“It’s so unfair Sorsby gets to play!!! We should boycott playing them!”
All that talk sure sounded nice
Drive around Athens, Georgia at 150 mph? Cool.
Slap your girlfriend around? No problem.
Fail a drug test? It’s all gravy, baby.
Bet on your team as a backup QB that wasn’t playing? BURN IT DOWN, COLLEGE FOOTBALL HAS BEEN KILLED. THE LOWEST POINT IN OUR SPORT’S HISTORY
Athletic officials from Nebraska and Georgia sent department-wide memos today instructing their coaches and sport deputies not to schedule Texas Tech. If games are already scheduled, the schools may work to cancel the matchups.
Here's Georgia's message:
This is ridiculous, especially coming from the SEC where Pavia and Chambliss got injunctions and they’ve had unfair advantages over everyone.
Tx Tech didn’t do anything wrong except be unlucky enough to beat LSU out for the player.
I can respect TT’s conference mates even though this is clearly sour grapes, but the SEC is the poster child of getting their way, bagmen, etc. They are the last people who should be whining about someone in another conference getting a favorable injunction.
#BREAKING: The majority of Big 12 teams are boycotting their games against Texas Tech next season due to the Brendan Sorsby ruling, per sources.
I’m told that multiple board members have also motioned to eject the Red Raiders from the league.
The only current holdouts are BYU and UCF.
NEW: Big 12 ADs say “serious” talks have been held about not playing Texas Tech after Brendan Sorsby's ruling, @RossDellenger reports.

Last week @CharlieBakerMA made an equivocal statement and failed to endorse the bipartisan Cruz/Cantwell bill, that is aimed at and will be effective in bringing order to chaos. This week Charlie and the NCAA are begging for Congressional support and intervention.
Blame Texas Tech, blame agents, blame plaintiffs attorneys, blame me and other boosters…hell, blame whoever you want...But if you want to know why college sports are in such a mess, look no further than right here.
SMU had to shut down their program for 2 years because they paid some of their players $50,000
30 years later and a player who gambled $90,000 on HIS OWN TEAM is allowed to play all but 2 regular season games.
