A setback doesn't have to occupy the whole frame. The ability to scale out of it, regain perspective and keep moving is a skill. Life wont stop because you lost your funded. Reassign the importance you gave it ,adjust the timeline being generous with time to yourself.
Being all in doesn't mean being in the charts 24/7.
Sometimes it's 2 hours of complete presence.
Funny how that definition changes over the years.
And some paper walls only need you to push through them.
There comes a time when youโll tinker with your model, optimize it, align it with new realizations.
It might make you more efficient. It might also throw you back into uncertainty.
Sometimes greed disguises itself as optimization.
But less is often more.
Saw an artist prepare a canvas, stare at it all day, then leave at dusk without touching it .

@naval We have a saying in Japan for this: "Ishi no ue nimo sannen."
It means "even on a cold stone, three years will warm it." Stay long enough and even the coldest place becomes yours.
I grew up hearing it. I'm only now starting to understand it.
