Can we please stop saying that when students are absent, they need to make up "missed work?" They need to make up the missed LEARNING. It's not the work that's important. It's the learning. And that is difficult to replicate through "work packages".

@diversedbd @HelenRachelB @JBradshaw01 Unrealistic bc they are unattainable. How can we ask them to be adults when they are not yet adults? We want them 2 b responsible & make decisions,but we get upset about those decisions. We've sheltered them for yrs &then we say it's their fault? That's unrealistic as a goal

Yes, both mean that you leave that role... not stop working all together.
When teachers retire early, they are leaving a good paying job for something that probably pays less, but has a better life balance
