Kudos to @BPDPCGross and @marty_walsh for taking time to honor police officers who died by suicide. Said Commish Gross, “This job takes a tremendous toll on our officers both physically and mentally. Now, more than ever before, we need to support them and appreciate them.”
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. This past week @BPDPCGross and @marty_walsh unveiled a memorial dedicated to #BPD officers who died by suicide. Sadly, officers are at a higher risk of suicide than most other professions due to the tremendous stress and strain of the job.
