Inspired by a teacher who used to post a monthly read aloud calendar! This is our calendar for I Love to Read month. If you click on the picture of the book, you will link to a read aloud video of the book.
Enjoy!

My mission this month is to prove that nobody needs TPT to teach about #OrangeShirtDay. There are so many free community-based and led opportunities for authentic learning… and all I had to do was Google! Check this one out ⬇️

Just found these gorgeous 🇨🇦Women in STEM posters. Perfect to post throughout the year as there are so many to choose from and learn!

I popped into Staples last night to pick up some school supplies for myself. I quickly adopted a dad who was struggling to understand his child’s school supply list.
Words like “loose lead” and “duo tang” do not make sense to everyone.
Thank you to all the adults who are deciphering and interpreting school supply lists this week! We appreciate you efforts! Also know that there is probably a teacher somewhere nearby who is shopping for their class and is happy to help you!
@janessa_allison I've had so many no shows... people saying they are coming and then just don't. So I tell everyone it's available and the first person who actually shows up with cash gets the item. Marketplace, in general, stresses me out.
Need help with strategies that improve vocabulary, comprehension, and reading fluency? I'm offering a free webinar for teachers and administrators - best for grades 4-12.

@thismomloves I have a collection of birthday books that the students get to read during Read to Self on their birthday. They love it! This one is a hit - I found it at a used book sale a few years ago.

Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better. ~ Magda Gerber #parenting
It's report card writing day... So, of course, my fridge has never been cleaner and I'm all caught up on laundry. Productive procrastination is my downfall.
This butterfly made recess very exciting! Our 1/2s are currently studying butterflies & enthusiastically shared their knowledge with everyone. Love it.
Incredible! Thank you for sharing! You inspired me to try making a calendar like this for our school's I Love to Read month in February... this is a lot of work!! Thank you for making one available every month this year!
We're planning to bring back Movies on Memorial this summer 👀 Any movie ideas?
Last time we had it was 2019 - movies under the stars with pre-movie entertainment including food trucks, games and more 🧡

May every woman find the confidence of the 6-year-old in my class who proudly proclaimed that the most special and important woman in her life is herself.
Happy International Women’s Day.
