This is part of a dangerous trend in reporting each allergic reaction as news. A million people have been vaccinated. A few had allergic reactions. All turned out fine. More will occasionally happen. They don’t all need headlines. It inaccurately skews perception of risk.

@UncleZachh I think it’s more a testament to how efficiently the disease spreads which is more the problem than fatality rate. Fatality rate can be very very low, but if it spreads fast enough that a large % of population gets it in short order you suddenly have a big problem.

What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat.

Two simple demos:

First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.
