We would like to express support for the recent resolutions passed by City Council and the Friends of the JP Library group to rename the Children’s Room at the Jamaica Plain Branch Library in her honor.
On May 21, 2024, the library world (and world at large) lost one of the greats. Barbara dedicated her career to public service and making the library a more equitable and welcoming place for all. Though her legacy lives on, we will miss her steadying presence and caring heart.
