➣ Between 2014 and 2026, the Government expanded youth-focused initiatives across education, skilling, entrepreneurship, sports, health, and civic participation.

➣ Anchored by the National Education Policy 2020 and a vision of youth-led development, it widened access to education, strengthened higher learning, and expanded opportunities for skill development and employment.

➣ India’s startup ecosystem also grew significantly, with over 2.3 lakh recognised startups.

➣ Through digital platforms, inclusive programmes, and community participation, the country’s youth have emerged as the Amrit Peedhi, contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047

The Government of India has officially notified the ₹10,000 crore Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0—a significant step forward in strengthening India’s startup financing ecosystem.

Building on the original Fund of Funds framework, this next phase is designed to mobilise domestic capital through SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), enabling greater access to funding for startups across sectors and stages.

With a sharper, future-focused approach, the scheme prioritises:
* Deep tech and long-gestation innovation
* Early-stage and growth-stage startups
* Innovation-driven manufacturing under Make in India
* Sector-agnostic investments to widen ecosystem reach

The initiative also introduces enhanced operational flexibility for fund managers, higher support for capital-intensive sectors, and a structured segmentation of AIFs to drive targeted, high-impact investments.

Beyond capital, the scheme aims to strengthen ecosystem development through mentorship, capacity building, and broader access to venture funding—ensuring startups are not just funded, but nurtured for long-term success.

A strategic push to catalyse innovation, unlock scale, and build a globally competitive and resilient startup ecosystem in India.
