@TamilGramsci If we go by scriptures, RigVeda/Avesta primarily mentions Helmand/BMAC and IVC sphere and its scripture geography matches Southern route for Indo-Iranians from NW Iran and not Steppe route. Same for Greeks too, primarily South Caucasus ancestry route
N Mesopotamia PIE homeland!!
@DavidePiffer I stress-tested where the main culture/ancestry of the Steppe people come from, and it's mostly S Caucasus/N Mesopotamia, similar to where most Hittite and Indo-Iranian ancestry comes between 6000-4000BC
Ancient Iranians dont have Sintashta, it's mostly R1b from Caucasus/NW Iran
Indian origin households lead as the UK’s wealthiest ethnic group, as per a report by LSE, with median wealth jumping from £93,000 from 2012/14 to 2021/23—outpacing others through hard work, homeownership and smart investments.
Model Minority Excellence
This success crowns them top taxpayers, pouring billions into UK coffers via progressive income taxes on earnings over £50,270, without leaning on social welfare benefits; instead, they contribute far more as self-reliant achievers. No handouts, just outsized impact.
We contribute. We coexist. We achieve by our own efforts.

@aravind@Osint613 A U.S. constitutional amendment requires approval by three-fourths (38 out of 50) of the states, either through their legislatures or state ratifying conventions, after being proposed by a two-thirds vote in Congress or a national convention
Not happening!
@seldomsensible@lugaricano@gideonrachman Well, Republicans went gaga over 2020 elections. Election disputes are grey territory and that’s why invading countries on the basis of that is a slippery slope. It will be used against US allies in the future. Republicans made elections their prime issue for nearly 4 years. Yeah
@lugaricano@gideonrachman > key distinction is that Zelenskyy was the democratically elected
So was Maduro in 2013. His subsequent elections might be disputed, but so are Turkey, US & many others. You dont get to just invade countries. Zelensky is also illegitimate since he suspended elections in Ukraine
@maxtempers > Asian households tend to be larger
Yes, but for Indians most of the times it is their elder parents living with their sons. These parents don't add any income, they are dependents w/o potential income. So adjusting parents for wealth/income doesn't make much sense.
Interesting new LSE study on the 'ethnic wealth gap' in the UK, and changes between waves since 2012.
The report found that amongst 'the [UK-born] black African, black Caribbean, and Bangladeshi ethnic groups [...] median wealth [remained] at or near zero in all waves.'
@assuwatama7 @a_south_indian @TupurSen@tuffimitten@VibudhSridhar@0007ferrero Is KUG005 Maykop R1a ancestral to CWC? Corded Ware R1a-M417 ultimately descends from R1a1-M459
KUG005 is probably in that line
So there could be multiple R1a lines from Baltic to N Caucasus and M459 line expanded and others probably died out
@assuwatama7 @a_south_indian @TupurSen@tuffimitten@VibudhSridhar@0007ferrero Post-6000BC ANF becomes widespread in that region but archaeologically the cultural spread is coming from Zagros (Iran_N heavy), and mixes with CHG on the way to Steppes (expected behavioral). Exact individual core ancestry percentages are not much relevant here.
@assuwatama7 @a_south_indian @TupurSen@tuffimitten@VibudhSridhar@0007ferrero > Novos is CHG + ANF
Thats not true. It has 42% Hajji Firuz-like. Ghalichi models Yamnaya using this source whereas Lazaridis sticks to Aknashen/Maykop. So southern source is not clear. Archaeologically all 3 a IE possibility. Hajji Firuz has high chance of being IE speakers
@assuwatama7 @a_south_indian @TupurSen@tuffimitten@VibudhSridhar@0007ferrero How R1a gets acquired is a different question and yeah, I don’t think it is coming from Novosvobodnaya. But If Novosvobodnaya is a cultural source, then high autosomal can explain high cultural influence, possibly language too
@a_south_indian SA6013 has 60% additional Novosvobodnaya ancestry (42% derived from Hajji Firuz farmers) and KUG005 has 38% additional ancestry from the same source.
This is one of the first R1a and Hajji Firuz connections we are seeing. Also, Steppe Maykop is one of the earliest Wagons culture
@0007ferrero @assuwatama7 @a_south_indian @TupurSen@tuffimitten@VibudhSridhar Catacomb have 21% Novosvobodnaya (Iran_N heavy) ancestry. We have Maykop R1a outliers with high Novosvobodnaya ancestry. We don’t understand North Caucasus that well. But there is R1a spreading in that region in Chalcolithic and sparse presence in BA, w/ Novosvobodnaya/Catacomb.
@assuwatama7 They clearly have Jiroft link, but it gets interesting in the samples below. We are all familiar with these samples and they have clear Jiroft/Catacomb link
