@enjoywithshubh @historyinmemes I wasn’t allowed within 6 feet of my Grampa if he was asleep because if he woke up suddenly he instantly tried to strangle the nearest person screaming “stop or I’ll shoot!” In German and he banned pork from being cooked in any house he went into. Your attitude sucks.
The first slaves in America weren’t African, they were Irish.
Men, women, and children were sold, starved, and worked to death.
Their suffering was buried for centuries.
Here’s the dark & forgotten truth about Ireland’s hidden history of slavery:
The Nazis weren’t history’s only monsters.
Japan’s Unit 731 froze prisoners alive, dissected children without anesthesia, and unleashed plague bombs.
At the center was Shirō Ishii, a man more monstrous than history dares to remember.
Here’s the horror they tried to erase:

John Tonkin (pic, rgt) was a wartime SAS Officer & post-war Antarctic explorer who had more lives than a cat.
This is his hair-raising story.
I mentioned Tonkin in last week’s thread about Belsen.
Born in 1920, he joined the SAS in early 1942 from the Northumberland Fusiliers.
I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry. I AM frustrated. I Have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time. I haven’t seen the signs even though people constantly are bringing them up and they have been SO OBVIOUS. And when I have spoken up I’ve been silence and PUNISHED by this industry Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly.
@emilykmay Hahaha yup! My only parenting advice that I give out is - learn to control your laughter. There will come a time you need to tell your child off for something that if another kid had done you’d be cackling your head off.
🧵 1️⃣ When my in-laws booked their flight to Berlin (which would be their first trip abroad), my husband and I told them, “We can get a cheap flight or train ticket to almost anywhere. Where in Europe would you like to go?”
Without hesitating, my father-in-law said, “Lorraine.”
My old boss did a lot of stupid things, like, proper mental, but the funniest was when he was on the roof of our shop, and looked like he was about to leap the 6-foot distance to one of the other buildings.
I said, "Jim, there's no way you'll make that jump."
@HannahPosted Tbf I told my mum about bomb disposal coming to my school one day because some kid brought in a German WWII potato masher for show and tell. I was 16 when this happened and I’m almost 35.
it's another lovely spring day to REMIND YOU DELINQUENTS TO STOP "RESCUING" BABY ANIMALS. THEIR MOMS ARE MOST LIKELY NEARBY - SO MIND YOUR BUSINESS.
FAWNS, DROP EM'.

Today is #DinaAliDay.
This day in 2017, Dina vanished off the face of the earth
Who is she?
Every woman who ever tried to flee abuse; everyone who ever wanted freedom.
She SO nearly made it;
but powerful men conspired against her.
Then people just…forgot.
But I can’t.
