Neither myself or the original commenter mentioned Crockett being black or Talarico being white. I think Crockett is a great candidate, but the average Texan voter doesn’t. That’s not my opinion, that’s just current polling.

Right/wrong/indifferent, playing the politics matters and the average Texan voter sees impeaching Trump as a “witch hunt”. Beating a dead horse with a stick will not win the election

Also for the record, Crockett is also a great candidate and I’ll support her if she wins the primary. But my gut tells me rural Texas will not vote for her.

A platform that focuses on “Anti-Trump” will not work. Thats why Talarico is the man.. “Top vs Bottom” resonates with the working class
