Please spare a thought for Tommy Farquhar, one of the Canadian G100 Air Ambulance pilots tragically lost last week off Nantucket as they were returning from Bermuda. Recently married, Tommy had a bright future ahead of him as a professional aviator. If you can spare a few bucks - an Aviation Scholarship fund has been established in his name and can be found in the link below. Godspeed Tommy - Rest in Peace.

A scholarship at Prairie College in Alberta has been established in memory of Regina-born pilot Tommy Farquhar, who was among six people aboard an air ambulance that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.

@shagbark_hick Pretty hard to live in rural Sask without a car (or more culturally appropriate, a pickup truck). But casual work would not be hard to pick up, and that’s a nice looking church building in Denzil.
@RichardDias_CFA Since Alberta has 4x the population of Sask, I’m thinking that going these numbers as a % of current population would be even more instructive.
@SteveSaretsky@MikePMoffatt Real estate market is rocking and rolling in Saskatchewan. Bidding wars are common, housing starts are up and inventory is low. After 10 years of almost a flat market.
@MikePMoffatt So had they held the line on development charges over the years, where would property taxes be today to generate the same revenue to the city? What they did is an artificial cause of price appreciation which favoured existing homeowners.
@MNavarroGenie That guy on the left with the yellow red and blue shield is Saer de Quincy, the First Earl of Winchester. He’s my 23rd great grandfather.
@trevortombe@MattYoungCTV Back in the early 2000’s the SK NDP made fun of the SKParty’s goal of growing the population by 100K in 10 years. They said it would be better if people left, b/c there would be more left for the rest of us.
Since the govt changed in 2007, SK has grown by over 200K in 16 years.
@cullenroche With apologies, but I don’t know the source - saw on Twitter recently. Remember when you look at these numbers that the USA has 10x the population of Canada.
