For all the casuals that missed everything that happened this NFL off-season, here's a quick recap
1. Dianna Russini was riding the dick off of Mike Vrabel for scoops
2. Every sports account is a prediction market affiliate
3. The Rams took a QB at 13 that McVay hates
4. Banner year for DUIs. Tony Romo embraced his inner Cowboy with one. Kyle Shanahan embraced his inner 49er by getting out of one. I think Jordan Addison had like 6
5. Stefon Diggs choked the shit out of his chef that he was banging then got 12 million from the Commanders who love that shit. The tried to trade for Josh Jacobs for the same reason.
6. Brandon Aiyuk became a role model to everyone who ever wanted to be a CTE influencer
7. ESPN fired everyone cool except Matt Miller who lost his arm then even more tragically was outed as a scammer
8. Aaron Rodgers reconciled with his family for attention
9. Falcons have two left handed QBs (Penix, Tua) with zero right brain cells
10. Tom Brady went off the deep end
11. Dolphins held tryouts from local citizens of Miami for every position
12. The 49ers electrical substation became sentient and went full Widow's Bay
13. Travis Kelce married an older woman. Rashee Rice missed the wedding because he was in jail for having a shitty knee or something
14. The NFL can eject players from games even when referees missed something (the DK Metcalf rule)
15. Everyone that tore an ACL or dislocated something is somehow on track to play Week 1
16. The fat kid from Superbad is going to kick your ass
This is where a lot of the anti AI crowd gets it wrong.
SMB owners arenโt recreating enterprise software.
Enterprise softwares are 90% bloat youโll never need or use.
Theyโre creating the 10% they need, and itโs actually a very simple way to save $1000 / mo
Costco's CEO reveals the Kirkland test that makes private label feel unfair:
A buyer brought him a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that matched the national brand.
He sent it back.
"How can we exceed the national brand on the bacon involved in that?"
Because bacon was "the highest value attribute."
The buyer came back with "40% more protein" and Costco was still able to "maintain our price."
Then he explains the real edge:
"They know down to the whole production of the item..."
"That just makes them a better buyer when they're dealing with the big brands."
The concept is the highest-value-attribute test.
Do not beat competitors everywhere. Find the one attribute customers value most, overdeliver there, and use volume/process knowledge to keep price intact.

Annie Duke, pro poker player and cog sci PhD, says the price you paid for a stock is irrelevant, and if you wouldn't buy it today you should already have sold it.
"We buy a stock at $50, we sell it at $40, we feel like a failure because we lost $10. But what's the real failure? It would be to continue to hold it when you could put those resources, that $40, into something that is actually going to win. That's actual failure."
"Regardless of whether we owned it at $50, what we're really saying is that I wouldn't buy it today. So if I wouldn't buy it today, I should sell it, because holding is the same as buying."
"We have this irrationality where we think of waste as a retrospective problem, what I will have wasted, as opposed to a prospective problem, which is, is the next dollar, the next unit of effort or attention that I put into this thing going forward, going to be positive expected value?"
