@RSherman_25 What is the definition of “best” here? That’s always the hard part of any of the endless debates — a lock of concrete alignment on how to operationalize the construct of “best”.
Debating the efficacy of micro loans. Why not go right to the science. Check out these evidence-based findings from @consensusapp https://t.co/jnIafX4EnT
Check out this evidence-based finding from Consensus. Can verify the algo identified THE KEY argument of the paper. Well done @consensusapp crew. This is going to change the research game forever. @DanieleMathras https://t.co/MgQAnuWQCC
@mrmattmclean@MoHead1980@CoachBaileySHS I’m also just impressed Morehead is functional after the UNC/Duke game. Figured he’d be incapacitated for a while after that one.
@R_Thaler@BergmanOlivia we have some opportunities at DraftKings as we’re investing in RCTs and Causal Inf. Happy to chat if you want to learn more about breadth of options and/DK.
Hey #EconTwitter DraftKings is hiring an economist to join the DS team. We are scaling machine intelligence through field experiments and need experts in hard Causal Inf problems. https://t.co/xve3c4Nnud cc:@causalinf @ me to talk what it’s like to move from academy to industry
@causalinf I think it’s probably worth more than a Twitter thread to discuss and lay out. I’ve been trying to find the right opportunity for to get a quorum of PhD students to talk about world inside and outside of the towers. Open to suggestions (shamelessly using it to recruit as well!)
@causalinf I’d love to talk through this with folks. Doc programs are typically single focused on academia as the end goal but there are a world of other places to apply the skills where the deliverables vary from journal papers to million dollar decisions.
