Also, I have 2 issues with Codex, and they are very annoying. They always happen on long-running tasks.

I'm sure a lot of people are having the same issues:

- Fails to compact, which stops the task and does not recover until I try running the compact command multiple times or restart codex.
- Stops, shows reconnecting, then stops with a "Bad Request" error without explaining what the issue is.

I come back to a bunch of failed threads, codex doesn't feel as reliable as it was a couple weeks ago :/

@jxnlco I still use ChatGPT for voice mode sometimes, but once that fully lands in codex, I don't think I'll be using it that much anymore

I'd prefer to get the chatgpt token limits added to my codex, it's much more useful there

‼️ BREAKING: Anthropic has embedded hidden spyware-like code in Claude Code that covertly targets Chinese users. It then sends information regarding every user by injecting it into their prompt message.

Claude Code is sending info like timezone, proxy and possible AI Lab connections into the system prompt in ways Chinese users can't notice.

A coding agent with repo and command permissions should not silently hide routing metadata inside prompts. This is a serious breach of user trust.

Anyone else running into this issue? It’s been happening too often for me lately. Is it failing to compact the thread context, timing out,.. ?

Won’t even continue when context is showing 0%. Sent continue the first time, failed again. Sent continue the second time, then it finally started compacting the context and continued.
