New paper out in @braincomms ! We developed a morphine-conditioned protocol suitable for contextual stimuli presentation inside a fMRI scanner, to analyse functional maps of drug-related memory that may support the relapse-triggering ability of opioids

Exciting news: our lab just acquired a @Bruker MRI Four-Channel Cryoprobe, significantly boosting SNR, and a state-of-the-art multimodal @TDTneuro suite for in vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, and fiber photometry, that can used stand-alone or alongside fMRI.
📢 My lab has 3 fully-funded #PhD scholarships at @cimec_unitrento. The candidates will work in my lab @IITalk in #Rovereto to investigate how modulatory transmission affects fMRI connectivity. For informal inquiries drop an email. Deadline: June 24th

🧠Join our lab @iitalk in Rovereto, Italy!🚀
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher interested in implementing concurrent fMRI and optical imaging in 🐁 as part of @ERC_Research#Brainamics
Full infopack here➡️https://t.co/akIiPukz2k
And many more openings in the lab soon!
⚡️Excited to share that I've received funding from @HCNP_Geneva to launch a new research line combining cell transplantation therapy 🔬 with optogenetics 🔦and fMRI 🧲🐭. Looking for two PhDs to join my new lab @unige_en. Please send me a PM or an email to know morel! Please RT!
This visualization was created by (twitter-less) Eugene Kim using a modified version of pulsed ASL on Bruker 9.4 scanner. #Neuroscience#fMRI#BrainActivity 🧠🌟 If you are at #EMIM2024 come and see our Friday morning poster Neuro-035
You all know how fMRI results are often described as 'brain areas lighting up'? It's a metaphorical way of referring to the statistical 'colouring in' of regions with increased signals, typically using red-yellow hues.
Here is our favourite example of the brain signal truly 'lighting up' in a single mouse. It shows increased blood flow (indicated by more yellow) in the striatum, accumbens, and cingulate areas after the administration of a neuroactive drug, amphetamine.
Want a PhD to investigate links between maternal stress, depression and the brain? only 8 days left to apply for the MRC DTP scheme, on EU funded project with @VernonLab_KCL https://t.co/4XMTgaW2fX
