Transforming the landscape of neurological disorders in Africa, from brain tumor- injury- aneurysm- mental health, spinal injuries, Alzheimer’s, and more.
I just witnessed an accident in Surulere, rider was hit and fell off his bike, hit is head on the ground and started seizing violently and bleeding from his nose.
Our skulls are very very fragile and a helmet would have saved him.
Please if you're riding a bike, wear a good helmet ⛑️. If you have a business where you employ dispatch riders, they must wear their helmets or get fired. It’s the best investment to making you get home safe.
🌍 *International Day of Persons Living With Disabilities*
Today, we stand in solidarity with millions of people across Africa and around the world who live with disabilities- both visible and invisible.
Neurological conditions remain the highest contributors to disability,
To promote accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities
- To support early diagnosis, timely intervention, and rehabilitation
- To ensure that no one living with neurological conditions is left behind
Every person, regardless of ability, deserves dignity, respect, and the
We also recognise the caregivers who give their all, often silently, to support their loved ones through long journeys of recovery, rehabilitation, and adaptation.
This day reminds us of our collective responsibility:
- To break the stigma around disability
-
affecting mobility, speech, cognition, independence, and quality of life. These conditions often strike without warning, leaving individuals and families to navigate unimaginable challenges.
At *Brain & Spine Foundation Africa,* we honour their strength, resilience, and courage.

I had two missed calls earlier today while I was in a meeting. When I returned the call a few minutes ago, the voice on the other end was trembling. She said, “Ma, I just got my MRI report, and my doctor asked me to reach out to you immediately. I’ve just been diagnosed with brain cancer, and he says I need emergency surgery without delay. I’m 45 years old, a mother of three, from Ishan, Edo State, married to an Anambra man.”
Honestly, I’m still trying to catch my breath. I already have patients who have been stranded for months, waiting for surgery we’re still struggling to fund. The financial demands are overwhelming, and yet, the cries for help keep coming.
Please, if anyone here has access to compassionate individuals or influencers who can step in to assist these patients, I beg you to kindly connect us. I truly need help. I’m leaning wholly on God, trusting Him for divine intervention, through healing, through provision, through people.
We desperately need miracles right now.
