Hi there media illiterate Resident Evil tourist. For years we actual fans have suffered through terrible film after terrible film. We did so knowing the reason was that Capcom would not allow a direct adaption of the games. They turned down George A Romeros script BECAUSE IT WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE GAMES. We are finally getting what, by all accounts, appears to be a great film made by someone that understands Resident Evil so thoroughly he is able to be subtle enough in his addition of game elements that Capcom didn't reject it. If it was as close to the games as you want it to be, Capcom would not have allowed it to be made. You would know this if you weren't a fucking tourist.

Please God. Shut the fuck up. If you are angry that Zach Cregger's Resident Evil is not faithful enough to the games, shut the fuck up. You are a casual.

@AmazonHelp I’ve already DM but nothing has changed. I have had 20+ failed deliveries. One associate even returned a package saying it was “not on his route.” Another order was falsely marked delivered and my refund is still pending.
What tangible steps are being taken?

@AmazonHelp @AmazonHelp I had received mail previously that investigation is going on but it has been more than 48 hours without any findings. I have not been contacted for any clarification that the deliveries will be honoured as usual. neither has the pending refund has been fulfilled.

my years of procrastination with being a terrible git user paid off. Anything beyond `checkout|merge|pull` was scary. Bisect/reflog? Crazy talk. I would rebase sheepishly to squash but always fumbly. Now it's like "oh no main has conflicts, please resolve favoring our stuff"

Chicken breast costs 220 rupees for 500 gams and provides 150 gms protein.
Egg costs around 8 rupees and provides 5 gms
200 gms paneer costs 95 and provides 80 gms.
Taking these into account it should cost only 4k-5k to meet 100 gms.

The amount of love this has gotten is quite crazy. I was just asking K, 'How does it make sense that there are tech companies worth billions and trillions of dollars who use these pieces of open source software without which they could not exist, and yet are unwilling to fund them?'

We’ve been funding open source projects from ~2018 on and off before setting up FLOSS/fund in 2024. We run on open source, so supporting is a no-brainer.

Our support for ffmpeg received a lot of unexpected goodwill among the open source community internationally, which, as a business, are not even our target customers. As such, I don’t understand why tech businesses don’t do this. Barring everything, they could at least do it out of their marketing budgets for the sake of publicity? It would be a win-win.
