Maryam has been injured for 59 days.
She has spent every moment in agony for 59 days.
What adds to the heartbreak is that when her brother Mohammed last spoke to her she didn’t mention her extreme pain, instead she asked him to find a source from which they could purchase flour as her two daughters had gone twelve days without food.
Maryam has survived two bombardments, tragically losing several family members including her husband.
She suffers from a severe fracture and dislocation in her shoulder as you can see in the x-ray with edema (swelling caused by fluid entrapment) and loss of function.
What makes her situation even more dire is that her passport and identification papers were destroyed during the second bombardment, as a result she’s unable to travel to Egypt for the essential operation and treatment she needs.
How can we help Maryam?
By sharing her story and drawing attention to it, we hope to reach out to humanitarian organizations that are both willing and capable of assisting in cruel situations like this.
Please join us in the effort to #SaveInjuredGaza and #SaveMaryam.
wow I just learned that Palestinians were not allowed to fly their flag for 26 years so they used watermelons, which have all the same colors of the flag. Everything I learn makes me love & empathize w the Palestinian people more. They are so resilient 🇵🇸🍉
Just tweeting about it and acting as if you really support Palestine wouldn't make a change, why are we not backing them up?? Instead we're busy deporting the afghans
I see the whole world marching for Palestine, but we pakistanis arent even demanding our own government to speak up, why are we okay with the silence??
