@bgurley Another sticking point is the amount of consumers that use debt vs cash to finance their purchases. I feel there will need to be meaningful reasons on the consumer side to justify using alternative methods. I use credit cards most of the time unless I save xtra using alt methods

@bgurley I understand your view but don’t consumers (points/cash back) and the economy (jobs, bank revenue, dividends) get some value from expensive cc networks....until the consumer gets a discount for paying with a lower fee method I don’t see why people will switch...

@gullfot I’ve worked at a company where we received good discounts or samples/swag from our vendors. This is a good way to experience a product and decide if you like it enough to promote, a [small] amount of bias inherently exists but much less than the other way

@balajis I would argue there is a pretty strong chain of command in most federal govt orgs. The failures ultimately fall on the appointed leaders and society as a whole. I will also add that the narrative in government does need to be changed...

@LeighOsofsky I’m not sure the “free market” is the problem. These companies can’t charge more because they will be accused of price gouging. The government could do a special stimulus type incentive for these workers, I believe strongly in a reverse income tax system v basic UBI type benefit
