@Jackdoggydogg@AthleticsGBR Yes, but he was only the 5th fastest (I assume on that leg), I think in the menโs 4x100 the final split was in the 8s. Rolling start, not quite doing 100m etc
@CogitoEdu@ceritheviking One thing not captured in the HS2 figure is the number of bridges for other infrastructure - roads/existing railways. There are a hell of a lot.
@GordonDComstock@alysdenby Not that Iโve followed the ins and outs of everything to do with the bridge, but I assume itโs open with significantly reduced capacity and the engineers canโt sign up to the variable loading thatโll occur if itโs full of spectators
@thomasforth I recall seeing something a while back about how the costs are reported. In the UK we lumped everything down (inc stations/highways etc) as a project cost which fed into a high cost per mile. But other countries report them as separate costs so they get lower costs per mile
@ahdamnpahpah@Joe___Allen@SionBen86 You would go down nantgarw hill to the A470 and then onto the M4. Itโs literally 12 mins from the castle according to google maps, youโre quicker to the M4 than a lot of Cardiff suburbs.
@MR3402 @jamesbrinning Most of the time the first you hear of it is at the hotel and they say that there will be a โฌ3 a day fee to pay. This will surely be the same, such a nonissue to get irate over
