@discord How do you respond to these allegations? And you want the children using your service to provide ID when you can't even stop this from happening.
Time to step back and think Dev's.
🦔 A service called Spy Pet has been scraping Discord, pulling data from over 10,000 servers. They claim to have data on 600 million users and 3 billion messages. Anyone can look up a specific user's activity across servers for about 10 cents in crypto. The data is being sold to law enforcement and to companies training AI models. Meanwhile, Discord just announced that starting next month, users will need a face scan or government ID for full access.
My Take
Discord feels private because it's fragmented. You're in a Minecraft server here, a crypto server there, maybe a work community somewhere else. But Spy Pet stitches all of that together into one searchable profile. Everything you posted, everywhere you posted it, available to anyone with a dime and a crypto wallet. You didn't consent to cops reading your gaming chat. You didn't consent to your conversations training some AI model. But consent stopped being the point a long time ago.
And now Discord wants your face. They say it's to protect teens. One of their third-party vendors had a data breach last year that exposed users' ID images. So the platform that already let your data get scraped and sold is asking you to trust them with your biometrics. If it's not encrypted, assume it's being harvested. Discord isn't a private space. It's a public one that feels private, which is almost worse.

@discord The dev's are cut from the same cloth as the other bluehair'd dipshits, this is just a slippery slope.
Discord this time next year: "Do to an abundance of caution.."
Why I joined Discord back when it was still a glitchy mess was to get away from exactly what they are doing now
@Alturvexs@Mappy6984 Incase you missed it? All of this... why don't you delete you post before you make yourself look like more of a moron.
It feels to me like you are bating people into having unnecessary conflicts with the police for no valid reason? Can you address this accusation?
@Asmongold When my Mother passed.. so very difficult, I feel for you.
Things I learned..
"When you are going through hell... don't stop."
Cry and let the emotions pass through you, in time you will realize .. they are storms. They will pass YOU are what will remain.

@redsteeze We know some of the left don't care&we are not asking them to join us in grieving CK's loss, but I think what is most telling about these people is celebrating the murder of another human being.Regardless of who they are. Simply shrugging would have been enough. Lack of character
@InternetH0F The more time you spend crying is less time you have to do the task.
Put your emotions down.. and start.. take the first step and "get'er done".

Not sure if this is AI or not ( Most likely), if it is it should be brought to light to clear up the Air.
