@sage_stage My feedback to such observers—everything I do is learner-centered. I already know this stuff. I’m doing it for the learners, hence, it is learner centered.
Since both our cars are twenty years old and have more than 140k miles on them, I just bring my tool bag and OBD code reader on every big trip, because check engine lights will come on.
My 1.5 year old daughter has learned the trick of bedtime stalling that works: when story time is done and it’s time for bed she says “Bible” and of course I can’t say no to reading her a Bible story! She never asks for the Bible first though!
Three years ago right before covid I was put on the waitlist for a PhD program. I chose not to pursue it further due to job prospects and not wanting to live too far from family. So instead I got my teaching credential and started teaching middle school social studies.
I’m glad I did. It’s satisfying work. It’s ministry. I can live in a rural area and raise my goats and be close to the wilderness. Im within a couple hours of my parents which is a blessing as some health problems have come up on their end.
@dualravens Apparently the English word “Slav” and “slave” are closely related for a reason. It stems from the Viking slave trade out of Eastern Europe. Sort of explains the anti-Slavic prejudice that has existed in the Western European countries throughout the centuries.
@jordanbpeterson Is this really the battle you want to fight? Christians have been working for the social good long before Marx. It stems from the idea that all are made in the image of God.
@Sophiologist_ Check out From Wild Man to Wise Man. He blends Franciscan theology with a little bit of Jung. It’s very much like Robert Bly with a Catholic-ish twist.
