@tino_santino Norris famously wears his heart on his sleeve when he's talking to media, today he could've thrown the towel in on the championship fight if he wanted to.

He could've blamed himself for Saturday and Lap 1, instead he focused on the positives.

That's a mentality shift from him.

For all of the criticism he's faced for his mentality, Lando Norris showed the quality of a world champion post-race on a day when he had every right to be angry and dejected.

But 4th? I’m not sure where two other drivers come from?

It was a continuation of VER’s w2w approach with HAM from 2021 (🇮🇹x2, 🇪🇸🇧🇷🇸🇦 & 🇦🇪x2)

Not entirely sure how you landed the blame on HAM - most extreme case is 50/50?

As a rookie he was more or less immediately in the same ballpark as Alonso, he had the beating of Vettel on even terms and he was basically as quick as Verstappen in 2021.

@FormulaPace Do you think they wanted to try something to gather data/test a theory for 2026 knowing that if they messed up then it’s only one bad year over something that would punish them in consecutive seasons?

I can’t think of another reason for changing a successful car like that…

Which is an approach Alonso does have, because he’s very aware of what his car is capable of doing.
