No amount of chemistry can outweigh the anxiety of being with someone who is emotionally inconsistent, lacks kindness, or simply doesn’t align with your core values.
Aftercare after an arguments/ disagreements in a relationship is very important. It leaves 0 room for uncertainty, plus it nurtures the feelings that might’ve been hurt during the argument. AND it’s also another form of reassurance.
You don’t go to a liar for the truth. If you’re questioning things and there’s no trust because they’ve been caught in lies historically and stories aren’t adding up or making sense, you’ve got to trust your intuition enough to not go to the person to confirm your suspicions. They won’t. Liars are usually lying in the first place because there’s a consequence they’re trying to avoid and unless their principles override that avoidance, you’re not going to get the truth from them. The conversation is going to leave you more confused than if you never had it at all.
Someone once told me, “The ending of a relationship is often hidden somewhere in the beginning.” I never forgot that. Sometimes, the signs are there from day one we just get too hopeful, attached, or in love to notice them.
the older i get, the more i see why it's important to only keep people around who have the same morals, manners, and sense of consideration as you. you reach a certain stage in life, where chaos and disrespect just aren't entertaining anymore...
Things you don’t post
Places you don’t go
‘Friends’ you don’t see/distance yourself from
Gifts you don’t receive
Etc
It’s all about boundaries and respect for the relationship
Tbh I really can’t wait for my turn to experience a safe love that doesn’t cause me anymore emotional and mental damage like I really have been thru enough lol
