Before our first date, she texted, “I’m wearing green, and I’ve brought emergency cheese.” She arrived with six string cheeses in her purse. Apparently she gets irritable when hungry and didn’t trust the restaurant’s portion sizes. Dinner was fine, but halfway through dessert the building’s fire alarm went off. We stood outside for 25 minutes while firefighters checked the kitchen. She silently handed out string cheese to strangers. Nobody questioned it. One firefighter took two. We’ve been dating for nearly a year, and she still carries emergency cheese everywhere. I used to tease her about it. Then our flight got delayed for five hours. I don’t ask questions anymore.

@Miss_Snuffy We took our daughter out of a woke public school and enrolled her in a Christian school. She absolutely LOVES it and is thriving academically, keen to do her best. They have expectations! She has heaps of happy friends and she tells me “there’s NO bullying allowed”

@DaAcervo Please, just remember to remove bay leaves before serving food. They do not dissolve or disintegrate in food as it cooks, and if one is accidentally swallowed, it gets caught in throat. Can be disastrous.

@Sue_HBS I have had a similar experience. I called and said “I can come ANYTIME” and she said can you be here in 45 minutes? I dropped everything and got an MRI just like that. They told me they’re so busy they don’t have time to call people on a cancellation list
