@YourFriendKyle_ Such a hot take that it’s a borderline retarded take. A sudden unexpected sound in the middle of a backswing would throw off any golfer even at a high level. Constant ambient noise is different.
@themattbank Come grab a twilight tee time here in DFW and let me know how you’re feeling after walking 5-6 holes. Gonna be 105 later this week with 40-50% humidity
@GrumpyGreenkepr Or he’s testing the rough in different spots to see how it feels/interacts with the club at impact. You’re a grown ass man trying to create a false narrative behind a keyboard. Not a single player on tour would see this video and think he’s trying to improve his lie.
@Jay_Sapovits You must be watching on mute. Broadcasters said there was water, but there had to be water before or after he took his stance, which there wasn’t, only when he was standing in it, so no relief. Either way, definitely worth asking an official or two
@Jay_Sapovits There absolutely was water, just not before or after he took his stance. His goal was to be able to drop so he could clean the mud off the ball. If there’s even a slight chance that you’d get casual water relief, you ask an official if that’s you in contention. Don’t be so dense
