Dr. Sankale (vet) yesterday discovered that “recovery from anesthesia” is a two-way agreement… and the lion apparently didn’t sign it.
One minute it was “vitals are stable,” next minute it was “why is everyone suddenly inside their cars?”
No injuries reported, just a rapid reminder that in wildlife medicine, confidence and chaos are often separated by about 3 seconds of silence.
The lion is back in charge of being a lion. The vets are back in charge of rethinking their life choices.
@kemboi__amos I had a similar issue of my coolant hose burning through on the timau plains. I managed to limp to nanyuki and get it sorted. It always helps to know your car deeper and trust your gut. Well in.
After 30?
You’ll wake up one day and realize…
No one’s coming to save you.
Not your friends.
Not your family.
At 30, your phone gets quieter.
Birthdays are forgotten unless you remind them.
And every mistake starts costing double-time, money, and peace.
Your parents are aging.
They’re not as strong as they were when they carried you.
Now it’s your turn to carry them-emotionally, financially, spiritually.
At 30, the women you wanted are now with men who earned what you still talk about.
No one claps for “potential” anymore.
No one cares about what you meant to do.
But hear this:
If you can survive the isolation,
If you can build in the dark,
If you can walk alone while healing from things no one clapped for…
Then you’ll earn the life most men never reach. Keeping fighting.
