3 days ago I sent a content verification request to @MetroUK. I have received no response. I have emailed again raising my request to a complaint about the paper misleading readers on affordability of #SharedOwnership scheme.

Generally the courts defer to the government and Parliament, particularly where challenges are made to Acts of Parliament.
Freeholders have challenged every attempt made since 1967 to reform leasehold as an infringement of their human rights. They have lost every time.
THE SECTOR CONTINUE TO FIGHT LEASEHOLDERS & THE GOVERNMENT.
Online seminar, Douglas will provide an overview of the (often) controversial application of Convention Rights to leasehold reform. He will then set out the issues that will be considered by the courts when deciding existing and (potential) future human rights challenges @ALEPofficial

There’s a simple way to allay that scepticism though. The Cabinet Office just needs to tell us when they received the claims for the expenses Boris Johnson incurred in 2022/23, and when they decided to let him have the money. Watch this space for the answers. (8/8)
Here’s a curious tale involving Boris Johnson, the annual allowance for former Prime Ministers, and the man Kemi Badenoch chose to stand in for her at PMQs last month. Oh, and £67,803 of taxpayers’ money handed to Johnson that he wasn’t entitled to claim. (1/8)
Weeks shopping at Lidl for £35 - a tenner over budget best not let the Housing Association see they'll think I've got money to burn! Their £437 (including previously free parking and 2023 accounts deficit) SERVICE CHARGE on a tiny 1 bed apartment comes out next week. #fleecehold
It was great to catch up with Matthew Pennycook, Minister for Housing & Planning, to address leasehold issues affecting residents in Swindon North. Together, we’re pushing for fairer practices and better protections for homeowners.
I welcome this vital clarity on the sequencing and timeline for the implementation of existing legislation that I know many leaseholders have been eagerly waiting for - and the timeline for new draft legislation to abolish the leasehold system as a whole.
I spoke with Jeremy Vine on Friday about ridiculous rip-off charges.
This is one for you @theJeremyVine
