Coaching requires holding your most talented players accountable when their actions negatively affect the team.
In preparation for the 2008 Olympics, Kobe Bryant, the Captain of the USA Basketball Team, started to play in a manner that was hurting the group.
LeBron James and Dwayne Wade looked at their Head Coach, Coach K, and asked him what he would do about it.
Coach K said, “I’ll take care of it.”
He didn’t want to confront the legendary superstar, but he knew it was necessary.
This is how he handled it…
2025 SS @B_Cordonnier21
High-end offensive profile. 6-foot-3, projectable frame with a pure stroke and low 70s batspeed. Ball comes off well in the low 90s with much more to come as he fills out. Oppo exits were nearly as high as pull side giving you idea of how clean the bat path is. Left side of the infield profile defensively.
@Fish_Report I checked D4 five times. Even checked D3 to see if we got moved up due to our increasing class sizes and competitive balance. Also checked to see where Richmond Heights was ranked. No love from the baseball coaches. #goraiders
